Purpose of Training

This course provides trainees with the skills to become familiar with some of the more challenging and advanced aspects of Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS).

Target Audience

The course aims to provide high quality training to Consultants, Fellows and Senior Trainees with a special interest and practice in Frontal Sinus Surgery.

Training Format

Self E-learning: Trainees are required to complete a self E-learning session by watching a demo video of advanced FESSS cadaveric dissection provided before taking part in the hands-on session.

Tele-mentoring: Tele-mentoring will be given by Prof. Simon Carney during the hands-on session.

Application

In response to an expanding outbreak of the highly contagious Omicron variant,  we would like to announce a postponement of the APOST Advanced Cadaveric FESS Training Course, which has scheduled for 19 March (Saturday) at Orthopaedic Learning Centre, Prince of Wales Hospital.

While the government has taken enhanced measures for disease prevention and control, large-scale public events are not encouraged at the moment. The Organizing Committee has decided to make this difficult decision of postponing the training course considering the health and safety of our faculties and trainees under the current public health situation.

We sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by these unforeseen circumstances. Please feel free to contact us at applications@apost-ent.org for any enquiry.
